If you’re like me, part of you is probably disappointed that summer has come to an end. Don’t get too down! Remember all of the things there is to love about the fall season. Fall brings pumpkin lattes, layering, bold lip colors, stylish hats, gorgeous boots and fall nail colors!

Similar to swapping out your wardrobe and makeup to prepare for fall you should do the same with your nail colors and styles.

Fashion week is setting trends for what you’ll see this season.  Time to put away your french manicure and bright colors. The fall is bringing rich statement colors that will get you ready to rock the winter months!  I love that this season, the options are endless.

Fall Color Trends

There are many gorgeous neutrals and deep hues to choose from that will be perfect for nailing (no pun intended!) that perfect presentation or meeting or simply for a night out on the town. Polish colors for fall are appropriate for day, office and evening.

Check out my favorites in dark hues, neutrals, and metallics!

Fun Nail Styles Trending This Season

#4 Embellished Cuticle

@shapemagazine

My favorite fall nail trend for the season is embellished cuticles. I think this style is sophisticated and sassy at the same time. Simply use a clear or nude polish as your base and gold glitter right below and around the cuticle line. Were you always good at painting your nails but not staying in the lines? This could be the perfect trend for you;)

#5 Fun French Manicures

Another trend is a variation of the french manicure. I have been wearing french for most of the summer and am sad to see it go. However, I’m loving the gold that I’m seeing for fall and am excited to incorporate that into my fall look. Gold tips are fun and can be used with a deep base color or a neutral shade. Both will look beautiful, and you can modify your look depending on your mood and agenda. Black nail lines were seen on the runway for fall, both vertical, horizontal and french….so many options!!

#5 Dry-Brushing

@glamourmagazine

Another fall nail trend to consider this season is Dry-Brushing. Depending on the colors you choose, you can either have an understated divine look or use more dramatic colors if it suits your fancy. The muted effect you see above is created by using a fan style makeup brush dipped in the pop of color you choose and simply swipe it back and forth across the tip of the nails. The accent color used in this photo is Penny Talk by Essie.

Now you have everything you need to get started rocking your nail game for fall! Have fun trying out all that fall has to offer for beauty.

Suzanne Amato is the President & Founder of NoUV by UVLove, a safe one-time-use fingerless glove set that will protect your hands every time you get a gel manicure. Suzanne’s passion is everything beauty.

Suzanne has lived in Boston most of her life and worked in the tech industry for years - but her true focus has been everything beauty by helping people stay healthy and young. As an avid researcher, Suzanne has positioned herself as a “local expert” and resource in Boston to help people find the best plastic surgeons, estheticians, or advise on the latest skin products that will keep them young looking.

With a specialty in anti-aging, Suzanne noticed we need to treat our hands with the same care as we do with face and neck. As a gel mani lover, she began to worry that the UV rays emitted by UV and LED lamps were aging her hands - and after much research, she concluded that the damage from the UV curing lights was cumulative. Thus, the idea behind NoUV was born.

NoUV is a safe, recyclable, disposable, one-time-use fingerless glove set that will protect your hands every time you get a gel manicure.

NoUV keeps hands young and healthy - currently being sold to spas, nail salons, and available directly to consumer in a 5-pack for $13.99. Check out NoUV at www.uv-love.com! Suzanne also recently blogs on her website where she spills all her beauty secrets.
